Killarney - the end of Georgian Bay

We reached Killarney on July 22, this is the end of the 168 mile long Georgian Bay. Killarney is a small town with approx 400 residents and a couple of great places to stop, the Sportsman’s Inn and the Killarney Mt Lodge. We stayed at KML for two nights and it was an amazing facility. After spending 6 nights at anchor this was a welcomed stop... with first class amenities! Luke was happy to have som nice grass to roll in and Kim was thrilled with the hiking trails... just a great stop before heading off the the 120 mile long North Channel.

Here are a few pics from Killarney.

Nice little coffee shop and bakery just steps from the boat

Herbert Fisheries ... aka... Herberts Fish And Chips! That’s all they served! Originally they had a bus as the store front.

A beautiful, new convention building with a new steakhouse resturant.

Just a really nice faculty everywhere we went

The Carousel Bar... was windows all around and lots of great seating. Live music every night.

This plane was a beauty!

Croker Island (Benjamin Islands)

July 27

Wind was blowing and there were squal warnings this afternoon so we decided to anchor for the evening in the well protected cove at Croker Island. Worked out well as the squal passed through. We have a beautiful pink stone beach about 200 feet off the stern, perfect for Looper Luke! Tomorrow (Sunday 7/28) the weather looks very nice, we will likely take the dinghy over to South Benjamin Island and do a little exploring.

Our anchorage for the evening.
